Pap Smear
This is done commonly to check for cancer of the cervix and/or any changes that may lead to cancer of the cervix. We use a speculum, lubricated to examine the cervix after making sure the client is comfortable and lying down on the examination couch.The lubricated speculum is then slowly inserted into the virginal and then made to visualize the cervix. Once it is seen then the cervical brush is used to pick up a sample from the cervix. This sample is then put on a slide an then sent to our laboratory for review by the pathologist. The result of this is usually 5 days and then this is forwarded to your email address with your consent.
